Día de los muertos 2025
This week, by installing an altar at the Santa Clara County building outside the Board of Supervisors Chambers and working on art projects both in Los Angeles and San Jose, members of the California Fast Food Workers Union celebrated Día de los Muertos.
We honor our coworkers who have passed away, and fight for all fast food workers still living.
Workers used our art to tell the Los Angeles City Council and the Santa Clara Board of Supervisors the importance of a Fast Food Fair Work law in those jurisdictions.
This comes after the release of a new report that talks about the toxic conditions in many of our workplaces.
Fast Food Fair Work laws in both jurisdictions would ensure fast food workers know our rights to safe and healthy workplaces and are able to take action when faced with harmful or life-threatening working conditions.
While we celebrate those who have passed, we refuse to allow global corporations like McDonald’s and Carl’s Jr. to stop the progress we’ve made.
