Our Rights At Work: Cool it! Hazardous Heat, Fast Food & The Path To A Safer Workplace
A new report released from Worksafe and the California Fast Food Workers Union shows three in five surveyed fast food workers faced excessive heat during the one-year period since California implemented an Indoor Heat Illness Prevention Standard on July 23, 2024.
The report’s authors recommend comprehensive, independent Know Your Rights training so fast food workers can protect themselves from heat-related illness and health hazards.
